an austenitic stainless steel filler wire, typically contains 21% Cr
and 10% Ni. The weld metal obtained is highly resistant to corrosion,
scaling and high temperature upto 800° C. The bright finish wire produces
porosity free welds consistently. For best results, use DCEN with Argon as
shielding gas.
Applications :
- For welding of AISI 301, 302, 304, &
308 grade plates, sheets, pipes and tubes
- Used in chemical plants, fertiliser
plants, oil refineries, food & dairy industries
- Also used for making furniture, hospital
and kitchen equipments
MODI TIG 308L
Classification : AWS/ A5.9 : ER
308L
Characteristics : MODI TIG 308 ,
an austenitic stainless steel solid filler wire, typically contains
21% Cr and 10% Ni. low carbon ensures freedom from inter granular cracking.
Excellent toughness down to -196° C. The bright finish wire produces
porosity free welds consistently. For best results, use DCEN with Argon as
shielding gas.
Applications :
- For welding of AISI 301L, 302L, 304L,
& 308L grade plates, sheets, pipes and tubes
- Welding of normal grade of AISI 301,
302, 304 & 308
- Used in chemical plants, fertiliser
plants, nuclear power plants, food & dairy industries
- Also used for making furniture, hospital
and kitchen equipments
MODI TIG 309
Classification : AWS/ A5.9 : ER 309
Characteristics : MODI TIG 309 ,
an austenitic stainless steel solid filler wire, typically contains
24% Cr and 13% Ni. is used for the welding of AISI 309 grade in cast or
wrought from. The weld metal displays excellent resistance to severe
corrosion and temperature upto 1100 C. The wire produces weld metal with
excellent finish at DC(-) with pure Argon shielding gas
Applications :
- Welding of AISI 309 grade and straight
chrome steels
- Joining of dissimilar steels e.g.
stainless steels with mild steels e.g. stainless steels with mild
steels or low alloy steels
- Welding clad side of type 304 clad
steels
MODI TIG 309L
Classification : AWS/ A5.9 : ER 309L
Characteristics : MODI TIG 309L ,
an austenitic stainless steel solid filler wire, typically contains
24% Cr and 13% Ni. is used for the welding of AISI 309, 309L Steels as
well as dissimilar combinations of steels. The low carbon in weld metal
increases the resistance to intergranular corrosion / cracking without the
use of stabilising elements such as Ti. or Cb (Nb). Prdoces
weld metal with excellent finish at DC (-) with Argon as shielding gas.
Applications :
- Welding of AISI 309, 309 L grades and
straight chrome steels
- Joining of dissimilar steels e.g.
stainless steels with mild steels e.g. stainless steels with mild
steels or low alloy steels
- Welding clad side of type 304, 304L clad
steels
MODI TIG 310
Classification : AWS/ A5.9 : ER 310
Characteristics : MODI TIG 310,
fully austenitic stainless steel solid filler wire, gives 26.5% Cr and 21%
Ni. typically. Weld metal displays high heat resistance in oxidizing
sulpher free atmosphere upto 1200 C. Use DC (-) and Argon shielding for
best quality fields
Applications :
- Welding of AISI 310 grades and other
similar grade steels
- Even dissimilar steels including
hardenable steels can be welded successfully.
- Gas turbine combustion chamber parts.
- Heat treated parts, furnace parts,
baskets etc.
MODI TIG 316
Classification : AWS/ A5.9 : ER 316
Characteristics : MODI TIG 316 , is
solid bare filler wire which typically produces 19% Cr, 12.5 % Ni and 2.5
% Mo. The presence
of Moly provides creep resistance at elevated
temperature upto 850º C. Pitting and scaling resistance in a halide
atmosphere is excellence. Use DC (-) and Argon gas for obtaining best
result
Applications :
- Joining and surfacing of AISI 316, 316L
and similar composition steels.
- Welding clad side of similar composition
steels
- Used in chemical, textile, paint and dye
industries
MODI TIG 316L
Classification : AWS/ A5.9 : ER 316L
Characteristics : MODI TIG 316 L ,
is solid bare filler wire which typically produces 19% Cr, 12.5 % Ni and
2.5 % Mo. Presence of Moly provides creep resistance at elevated
temperature upto 850º C. Pitting and scaling resistance in a halide
atmosphere is excellence. Low amount of Use DC (-) and Argon gas for
obtaining best result
Applications :
- Joining and surfacing of AISI 316, 316L
and similar composition steels.
- Welding clad side of similar composition
steels
- Used in chemical, textile, paint and dye
industries
MODI TIG 347
Classification : AWS/ A5.9 : ER 347
Characteristics : MODI TIG 347, is
columbium stabilized solid bare filler wire, typically produces weld metal
containing 20% Cr, 10% Ni and Cb. Presence of Cb (Nb) and Ta reduce the
possibility of intergranular chromium carbide precipitation and thus
susceptibilty of intergranular corrosion. Weld metal also provides high
temperature strength effectively. DC (-) with Argon shielding produces
excellent quality weld metal
Applications :
- Welding of AISI 304, 304L, 308, 308L,
321 & 347 grades.
